Drake Legal, PLLC was founded on two basic principles. First, we value our clients and aim to give superlative service to them. We always remember that every business is a people business, and we seek to treat every person we encounter with the courtesy and level of service that we would extend to a family member or close friend -- because, often, our clients become our friends.
Second, we handle client matters in a cost-efficient manner. While we may bill hourly at our clients' request, we find that fixed-fee and transaction-based billing allows us to exercise creative thinking, to our clients' benefit.

Our Founder
Keegan Drake founded Drake Legal, PLLC in 2023. His legal career began in the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton. He later practiced at Wilson Sonsini and Cooley, in their Washington, DC, and Colorado offices, respectively. Keegan then joined the legal departments of a global financial technology "unicorn" and a real estate developer. Prior to the law, Keegan worked for a commercial real estate investor and as a financial policy aide in the government.
Keegan earned a JD/MBA from the School of Law and Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he was an editor of the law review. He studied history at the University of Oklahoma, graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
He holds law licenses in Colorado and New York. Keegan is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association and belongs to the Agriculture Law, Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Trusts & Estates Sections. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Colorado. Outside of work, Keegan is the Treasurer of the parents' group at his children's school.

Our firm is based in Denver's Cherry Creek neighborhood. However, we enjoy visiting clients across the Mountain West, and are proud to serve clients elsewhere, who find that our outsider perspective breaks the echo chamber of their respective geographies.
